DAN ASHBY 

Dan is a director and investigative journalist specialising in environment stories. Along with Lucy, he wrote and presented the major BBC podcast hit 'Buried', now being developed into a feature film. He has directed documentary shorts for Waterbear and the international film festival Hot Docs, including the story of an Appalachian community's fight against toxic rivers. His work and investigations have been featured in national newspapers, and he appears as a keynote speaker at events and conferences.

 

He has a background in TV & radio. He was a reporter for ITV, Deutsche Welle and and many others, while living and working in East Africa and Russia for six years. He started his career as an ITV Tyne Tees television reporter, being shortlisted for a national Royal Television Society Award for his investigative journalism.

LUCY TAYLOR

Lucy is an environment producer and presenter, passionate about bringing urgency to environmental story-telling.

 

She has produced two documentary films, ranging in scope from the Middle East to the US. She also oversees and co-presents global audio docs such as "The Ghost Ship" due out on the BBC World Service in 2023.  

 

Like Dan, she previously lived and reported across the world, appearing on channels such as PBS USA and DW. Her stories have sparked military press conferences and UN investigations.
